Nemo Vista High School Reviews

My school is very down to earth, and its very southern. I enjoy my school very much and of course some things do need to change, especially our views on how athletics are more important than our academics. Our school does put a lot of our funds toward our athletics programs rather than our other clubs and organizations which could use a little more help. I do like the school environment, its very stable and family-like. We are very close knit and everyone knows everything about everyone so its really sad to see everyone graduate and some of our forever teachers retire.
It is a great school, keeps students in line, safe environment with the friendly campus officer and security cameras in all rooms and hallways except restrooms. I would like to see more of the computers and textbooks updated instead of the basketball gym that is remodeled every 2 years.
Everybody treats you like family, and they know you
The safety policy is at hand at this school and taken seriously, even though there are times that matters do slip up.
We have went from block scheduling back over to regular and that showed that block didn't give the school much to go for so, now it is back on track.
The teachers here are ones that will want to help the student in any way they can.
This school facility is one that gives out a wide variety of resources to students. There is tutoring available along with parents going an cheering on the school on any games.
There are so many teachers' kids at this school. They always get away with everything they want to and everyone tries to follow their lead. Nemo Vista used to not have many different races but now there are a few blacks and hispanics.
There are quite a few options for extracurricular activities such as FBLA, FCCLA, FCA, as well as FFA. There isn't a drama club or a debate team or clubs that most larger schools would have but we are only a 1A school.
I have learned so much being here, and have really came out of my shell.
Almost all of our teachers are more than willing to help students in anyway they can.
There are many chances for students to get involved.
There are students who work hard to get their grades. There are also students who don't care about school.
She makes sure to not keep the student if they are not really sick or feeling well. She doesn't allow students to skip class. If you tell her what is wrong she will try her best to help you. The nurse is really nice and cares for her patients.
There is not a wide variety of extracurricular activities but there are a few. Nemo Vista is a small school but still has a lot of clubs and sports that the students can participate in.
The coaches don't leave out the players. Each team member works hard at practice and the coaches make sure to help them anyway they can. The coaches don't work individually with one player they treat everyone equally.
Everyone is nice once you get to know them. Peer pressure is easily avoided because no one has the guts to do anything. There are not a lot of bullies because everyone knows one another. If there are any problems then they are settled through High school Authority.
