Academics at Negaunee are great - everyone has the opportunity to take at least four years of math and four years of science. While the curriculum can be as difficult or as easy as you want, there will always be support for you whether it be in a teacher or a study group. One thing I would like to see change is the school's absolute devotion to sports. I understand that sports and pep rallies get most people together, but there aren't many other options for extracurriculars. A friend and I started an art club in the fall of 2017 and we got a decent response; however, we didn't get a ton of support from the faculty.

Negaunee High School is a nice, laid back school that I really enjoyed going to. The teachers are nice and helpful and most people get along.
The only issue I have is that the administration care about the sports way too much. If students are caught doing illicit things on school grounds, they should all be prosecuted. Not just the ones that don’t play basketball.
Other than that small complaint, I like everything about Negaunee High School.
Spending all of my school career in Negaunee Public Schools, I can honestly say I would not have been better off in any other school district. I understand why our school system is a School of Choice, because it has opportunities like no where else and provides one of the best learning environments in our area. Every teacher I had left an impact on me, if even for a brief time in my four years at Negaunee High School.
