Negaunee High School is a nice, laid back school that I really enjoyed going to. The teachers are nice and helpful and most people get along.
The only issue I have is that the administration care about the sports way too much. If students are caught doing illicit things on school grounds, they should all be prosecuted. Not just the ones that don’t play basketball.
Other than that small complaint, I like everything about Negaunee High School.

Outstanding faculty, curriculum and extracuriculars are present at Negaunee. Being regarded as one of the best Michigan High Schools is evidence of this as well as the well rounded experience you are granted.
Every year the school has a safety seminar that is about (at least) an hour long. We cover how to handle things like bullying or sexual harassment. We also learn about some lab safety and how to be cautious and safe in the workplace so that no one gets hurt. Our school doesn't usually have problems with sexual harassment and it's not uncommon to have bullying, but it's not typical. I feel safe in this school. The people are very nice and genuine (including staff and students). The school has cameras set up and has an anonymity policy for people who feel threatened to come in and say what's going on. (Example: a kid has a knife in his locker). It's rare that people make reports like this, but it has happened in the past, only because we're a hunting area, but it is against school rules still and so the person would have to go through the punishment decided.
