Neenah High School offered many academic, extracurricular, and social opportunities that I would not have experienced at the same level elsewhere. The academics are outstanding with top notch teachers who want to see students succeed. Additionally, the amount of college level courses offered aids students in getting a jump start on college credits. Moreover, the extracurriculars at Neenah High School made me develop a passion for Neenah. Playing three sports in high school, I learned what "Neenah with Pride" was all about. For me, being involved on the volleyball, cross country, and track and field team was more than going to practice and games, it was about demonstrating the pride for where I came from and the character that I wanted to represent my community with.

Neenah High school does have some outstanding features. I have met some great staff members that have inspired me and help shape the person that I have become today. There were a few teachers that were really understanding, and I probably wouldn't be where I am today without their help. However, Neenah like any other school has its downfalls. The administration team can be immature at times, and I have also known specifically one of the administration team members to not take discriminating and demeaning remarks as seriously as they should be taken. Some of the students at Neenah high school also have been pretty mean to other students at least in my experience. When you think of the "clicks" that you see in classic mean girl movies that feature highschool this is an accurate representation of how groups are at Neenah high school.
In Neenah High School it is easy to get lost in the cliques which are formed, but the teachers (which are the best feature of the school) have a way to remove the separation formed by these cliques. By doing so, everyone can find a common ground which allows for opportunities to make friends with people one would usually never associate themselves with. The teachers are, by far, the best feature of the school because it is obvious they love their job and love the kids they work with. There is an abundance of passion in the teachers to teach which gets passed to the students to learn.
