I have two children that have graduated from Nederland High School and are currently attending and succeeding at great Colorado universities. The rigorous AP and advanced classes offered at Ned combined with the dedicated teachers and staff, small class sizes, and strong sense of community prepared them well for college academics and life. Our third child is currently at NMSHS and is in love with the small school experience, her teachers, classes, and teams. This small mountain school punches well above it weight. In the mid-1800’s gold, silver, and tungsten were discovered here and put the town of Nederland on the map. Today, gold can easily be found in these mountains and it’s at Nederland High School!

Good academics and community, with many AP and advanced courses being offered (especially for the size of the school). Teachers and staff are willing to help with problems and form positive relationships with students. Some programs do not receive as much funding from the school however, despite similar participation.
I honestly loved attending Nederland High School, we all lived in such a small area so our community was very close, we always lended each other a hand no matter what. I had the chance to become close with all of my peers and teacher/ staff. I am an independent minor, and I am very grateful for what this school has done to make sure I succeed. Nederland is a very caring school who always has an ear out for improvement. This school has had alot of struggles these past years, but they always make a difference.
