The academics at Nazareth Academy High School are great but due to the small enrollment size, there is not a large course selection. While I do feel mostly equipped to attend college, I also feel that I did not write enough papers and essays while at Nazareth. The clubs and activities at Nazareth are very well-organized and parent involvement is good for the most part. The student body is diverse in where they reside in and around the city of Philadelphia and somewhat economically, but certainly not racially. However, school spirit at Nazareth is very fervent and overall, I have very much enjoyed my experience attending Nazareth Academy High School.
Review Nazareth Academy High School
Nazareth is truly a great place! We enter as girls and leave as fine, young women. I could not have gained the knowledge that I gained at Naz anywhere else. Not to mention, the friendships I have built will last a lifetime
The teachers here are mostly knowledgeable in their fields and have had previous work experience related to their fields, such as psychology, medicine, fitness training, or applied physics. They speak from experience and have a first-hand understanding of their subjects, and most can explain their subjects clearly and effectively. Even the nuns teaching different subjects have a solid foundation in the subjects they teach, and work hard to make their lessons engaging and useful. Most teachers do their best to prepare students for college while also being understanding and nurturing, and will notice if there is a marked change in a student and they believe the student needs help. There are exceptions of course, but for the most part, teachers here are incredible.
