At NPS, we focus on the foundational decade of childhood to launch lives of purpose and compassion. We provide children from age 3 to grade 6 the guidance, challenge, and support they need to develop as successful learners and good people.
We celebrate childhood, the foundational years when the greatest leaps of learning occur. Our faculty and staff are experts at helping children learn and grow - intellectually, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
We challenge students with an engaging, research-based academic program that balances tradition and innovation. We embrace important Core Values that help students learn and practice what it means to live morally and ethically. And we create a learning environment where children feel heard and respected.
Our exceptional outplacement record speaks for itself: NPS graduates routinely gain acceptance to - and thrive at - leading middle and high schools in the Washington, DC, area and beyond.
Launching Lives of Purpose and Compassion
At their next schools, NPS graduates are renowned for being kind, in addition to being academically prepared. NPS supports character development through an intentional and multi-faceted approach that integrates social-emotional learning (SEL); chapel and religious studies; a diversity, equity and inclusion framework; and service learning.
