Overall, Nation Ford has provided me with a second home and family. Though there are certain things about every school that doesn't make it perfect, Nation Ford has certainly found the path with the least discourse. The teachers and staff are always kind and welcoming, which transfers into the student body. Nation Ford not only directs you on a path for success but guides you towards your interests and desires. The everlasting drive of Nation Ford pushes its students to be the best they can be and even further. The staff and resources are always available when one is in need of help, but never makes it too easy since they are preparing everyone for college. Nation Ford is simply a Great high school!

I can't speak to the parents of the students of the school. I do know that they attend sporting events. The parents that I do know, all share the same opinion about the school. There are way too many rules, and the teachers spend more time enforcing rules than teaching. In School Suspension is the most crowded class, as teachers incessantly send students out of the classroom so that they don't get to learn. Many teachers are now leaning towards the teaching style of making students go home and go on-line to learn material, then go to class take a test on the material (whether they have learned it correctly or not), then AFTER the tests are taken, do a review of why the students are WRONG! Teachers always emphasize what the student does wrong and do not praise when something is done right. Parents can not do anything. Complaints go unanswered and parents are made to feel like the bad guy if they question the dictatorial teachers, so parents just give up and tell their kids that they just have to wait out the four years until they graduate because there's nothing to be done.
The high school has some excellent teachers, but the administrators won’t to avoid anything that may bring negative attention to the school. Bullying is outright ignored and students are encouraged to ignore the bully and told it will then stop. Ignoring problems hoping they go away isn’t a message that should be conveyed to young adults. It is also a small town atmosphere with little diversity having most administrators who are native to the area. It is certainly a broken system and unfortunate for the low income students, because tutoring at an expensive rate is almost always required for the students who want to excel and have parents that can afford the extra cost of a tutor.
