Warning! I graduated from Narbonne High School in 2012, so it may not reflect the most current information. This is the perspective of someone who graduated this school in 2012, who wasn't in the Magnet program, but attended 8 of their provided AP courses.
This school was mixture of very academic Magnet group, and not so much rest of the 8 groups. Each had their focuses, but other than the Magnet program the other didn't really have anything good. All the AP classes were under the Magnet program. The school itself is very mixture of few 15% who are very studious, about 25% athletic, and about 30% who seems to have no interest in future (not sure about the rest 30%). Other than the AP courses, there are some risky (some racist, some high, some just purely unenthusiastic) teachers. I recommend you stick to the AP courses. Most of the teachers I had for AP courses were nice and enthusiastic about teaching. Not the safest environment, but it is trying to better itself.

Nathaniel Narbonne Senior High School is an amazing school. They offer so many programs that will greatly benefit their students. From Honors classes to AP College leveled classes, the support the students receive is phenomenal! Teachers support students 100% and they are amazing with making sure each student receives the help they need. The counselors are kind and very determined to make sure everyone has a safe and memorable time there at Narbonne.
Narbonne High School was extremely hit or miss on all fronts. The campus is average, and the funding in student facilities is limited. The student life is okay, I've made great friends, but there were too many issues of delinquency, fights, etc.. The staff is incredibly hit or miss. Some counselors are extremely helpful, while some make you question why they're even there. Some teachers are the best I have ever had, while some probably should not even be employed. the sports and arts have strong programs, but from an inside look, they're corrupt and declining. The school was plagued with controversy and scandals for years as well. In general, the magnet program and honors programs are on par with California public schools. Clubs and sports were a bright spot, except for the scandals. Overall, I did learn and enjoy my time at Narbonne, but if I were given the opportunity to attend a different school, I might strongly consider it.
