Overall, high school has been an enjoyable experience for me. I have suspicions that if I had gone to school somewhere else, I wouldn't have had such a positive experience. At Hale, I love that there is always a staff member there to help with school work or something personal if needed. The students mostly respect administration because they are very intelligent adults and they respect students. If there was one thing I would change about Hale, it would be the arts vs athletics ranking. Our music program is amazing and there are so many talented students, yet the music program almost got shut down due to budget cuts while the sports teams wouldn't have been effected.

Nathan Hale certainly has its ups and downs. We've had various anomalies including: bomb threats, power outages, paper towel dispensers on fire, drug busts, stealing, and I could go on. However, the teachers at Nathan Hale high school are some of the most supportive people I've ever met. They truly care about each and every student they have and will work hard to ensure they're successful. Not only are the teachers compassionate with their students, but they are good teachers. I know it seems trivial, and you could argue that every teacher is at least good at teaching; however, Nathan Hale continues to outscore national averages and it's due to the teacher's creative intuition in the classroom that keeps it's students scoring high.
Nathan Hale High School was about as average of a high school as you could imagine and the main reasons for that were teacher burnout and administrative failures. As a current college student, I can see how poorly they prepared me for college coursework and the classroom atmosphere on a college campus. With that being said, Nathan Hale High School is definitely not the worst option out there for a high school education, but there's plenty of room for improvement.
