Many clubs and sports opportunities are available. That's great! Needs more enthusiastic teachers! More interaction with various subjects other than studies is helpful and needed. Also would appreciate quick email response from teachers. If students are expected to submit their assignments on time then teachers are also expected to reply to email in given time. Parents teacher conferences are totally unnecessary and not useful. parents should approach teachers if they are concern about their students in any way. Conferences are held for 3 minutes to each students. Not at all enough time and it just ends up in sentence that email me if you have further questions! Frankly school time should be reduced for seniors. Mostly teachers teach twice in a week and rest of the days they tell us to work on our own and finish any other home work or assignments for different subjects. Food definitely needs lots of improvements. It need vegetarian variety and more options and better quality.
Naperville North is a school where everyone can feel included and welcome. In addition, the teachers are passionate, caring, and talented, creating a positive learning environment for everyone. With the hundreds of clubs, sports, and activities to get involved in, there is truly something for everyone! In addition, the school has many different types of classes so students can really explore future career choices and get to know themselves better. Not only is there a wide variety of classes, but these courses prepare students for further education in college or various trade studies. There are many AP classes available to students as a way to test out of specific college classes. Overall, Naperville North is a wonderful place to spend the four years of high school. Between the passionate teachers, positive learning environment, and wide variety of classes, students are truly on a path to excel.
The teachers are great at teaching and many are able to develop good relationships with their students, leaving room for education and fun in the classroom. Even the general staff build many good relationships with the students, having conversations with them about their lives and well being, even laughing and smiling with them, which is very accommodating. Many of the people who work here seem to genuinely care about their job and enjoy their positions, contributing much to a sense of community, one in which students can be comfortable being their true selves with one another and with the adults. Lastly there is a large emphasis on representation and acceptance of diversity here with no room for discrimination of any sort, coming from both the staff and general student population, greatly showing support for LGBTQ members, non-curricular education on discrimination and other race issues, and advocacy for maintaining a safe environment for all people.
