As a junior who has been at Naperville Central for all three years of my learning career, I am excited to continue my senior year here! Naperville Central is a highly academic-focused high school with many course opportunities. Central offers honors, dual credit, and AP level classes to challenge students to reach their full academic potential. Teachers truly care about your education, as they frequently check in with your progress. Not to mention, Naperville Central has a variety of clubs so everyone can get involved in activities/hobbies that they enjoy. I truly feel a sense of community here, as Central has a built-in period called SOAR to focus on a student's physical, emotional, and mental well-being. My favorite part about Central is how diverse it is. The curriculum in each class makes sure to go over how different aspects of our society affect every culture. Regular field trips allow students to experience different cultures.
Naperville Central High School provides a numerous amount of opportunities and involvement for their students. Additionally, they have representation of all genders, races, and religions through their activities and in classes. I am also incredibly proud that my school is helping students in need during a pandemic by helping them with meal assistance!
However, I feel as if my school should take in consideration of extra education about safety. More specifically, the safety of individuals themselves.
These reasons have made my overall experience with this school very enlightening. I feel very included and cared for at all times.

An excellent school. There's a real sense of school spirit, and not just in the mocking way that is typical in highschools. Many activities are organized by both staff and students year round to participate in. It's a very large school, but there are a great deal of resources and activities. The most impressive thing is probably the wide selection of courses. In addition to great academics there is a wide variety of practical course such as animal companion science, lifeguard training, game design, self defense, fashion design, sports medicine, geometry in construction and many more. I've never had a teacher I disliked during my time here, and our classes always have the needed equipment. The campus itself is huge and it's just a short walk downtown from school. I know we have great programs for special needs students as well. If you look it up you'll probably find articles on school threats in the area. However, the school has done a great job at assuring our safety.
