I really liked the teachers that I met and the school's attitude toward dealing with the students; be it our reckless nature our rebellious nature, they knew to treat us with respect in order to get the same in return. However, there are other factors that have plagued the school for a while such as their mobility and segregation of those who take lower and higher level classes. I understand their problems with dealing with such issues, but the difficult part is how apparent it is at the school. The problem is a hard one, but it needs to be dealt with soon.

I'm a senior at Myers Park high school graduating in 2019, and I can honestly say that I enjoyed my 4 years there and I would highly recommend it to others. What made my high school experience so great was the size of the school. While others see that as a negative and I also did my freshman year I quickly learned that there is literally a place for everyone with all the clubs, sports, and activities that the school offers; I think there are over 100 clubs from the fly fishing club to the anime club to the curling club, and the athletics top it off in the fall you could come onto the campus on a Friday and everyone would be talking about the football game that night. I really feel like Myers Park has somthing to offer to everyone, but at the end of the day you'll only get out what you put in.
I like the opportunities available to all students at Myers Park. Their motto is "make the park your own" and with everything they offer it's very easy to do that. Academically, you can push yourself however you see fit as they offer IB, AP, honors, and standard level classes. They also have lots of opportunities outside of academics. Myers Park allows you to customize your high school experience and are continually bettering the resources available to students. One thing I would like the change is the faculty and staff getting to know the students better. Being in a such a big school you have to seek out special attention from teachers and administration. Overall, I have had a good experience at Myers Park and I was able to meet so many different people and participate in lots of varying activities making my time at Myers Park very enjoyable.
