So this year I transferred to snowden from my old school, and I honestly regret it. When I came here I thought it would be really fun and that I would make lots of friends but most of the people were extremely ghetto and loud. I am a loud person myself but in school I am usually quiet/shy so it feels awkward being around them like this. A lot of people at school would follow me on social media as soon as I got there and I thought that was a sign they wanted to be friends but instead they would just act weird around me and so I ended up giving up on making friends and just stuck to myself for the rest of the year. I spoke to kids mainly from other grades but still felt isolated in my own grade/classes. I noticed a lot of kids in my grade made racist jokes so I sent an email to the principle and he didn’t even do anything! The school has no school events and the teachers do not like giving kids extra help if they don’t understand something. This school is a waste of time.

I enjoyed attending Snowden International High School. I met amazing students, had amazing teachers that I still am in contact with, and learned so much academically. In addition, I learned a lot about myself, and Snowden is actually where I vowed to pursue my true passion, acting. My teachers forged a relationship with students that made them feel more like mentors, and not just teachers. They were there for us in the classroom before the bell rang, and even after the bell rang.
I like that Snowden high school is a well diversified high school. The teachers are amazing, and most are kind. The administration could definitely be better and so could the involvement and communication. The school could also have way better food, and more clubs and activities to show off students creativity.
