The academic caliber of Mundy’s Mill High school is indeed challenging enough for those who would like to achieve height in education. However, the administration treats all students as guilty until proven innocent. This type of environment can be diminutive to the young mind causing one to act out or worse. In addition, the student in question loses out on numerous opportunities that are offered in the school. There are some teachers that are fair towards students and want nothing more than to see them succeed, however, overall the environment at Mundy’s Mill High School is not particularly ideal for a successful student.

My experience with Mundys Mill High School was very very challenging. From lockdowns to complete riots. There was always something new happening at Mundys Mill. The years I went there were from 2013- 2017. I was there when they build their brand new gym that would be the place where jock hung out and fights would break out almost every day to the point the shut down the new gym. My teachers were great as well. Some really sat and worked with you as much as they could and some just quit and gave us a sub for the rest of the year. Which of course at the time was great at the time. I left with AB honor roll and several awards from my extracurricular activities which included volleyball, step team, chorus, event planning association, soccer. swim team, and year book.
I feel that my experience was positive, the teachers care and they strive to connect to the students and make school a safe environment for the students physically and emotionally. I would say that academically the courses are average unless you take an AP class. The building itself could be renovated and feel more friendly. Sports other than ROTC, Football or Basketball could have more resources, but despite these things the school makes the best of what they have.
