My daughter attended k-8th grade. Best academic decision we ever made. She's in college now... biliterate and bilingual in Spanish/English and bc of MLC she also studied Italian, Russian and is now fluent in Arabic, on her way to study abroad immersed in the Arabic language/culture!
Standardized test scores are kinda meaningless in the lower grades bc the kids learn primarily in Spanish but the tests are administered in English...
Spanish 3 in 9th grade and AP Spanish in 10th grade and passed the AP exam with a 5.
Admin was very accessible, teachers caring & knowledgeable, fellow families friendly.
Parents were very involved in school community.
Not the best time socially in MS, but MS can be a challenge for an introvert anywhere.
Needs more diversity in the student body but they did strive to honor all cultures and worked to maintain a balanced language diversity when kids start in Kinder. (1/3 Spanish speakers only, 1/3 English speakers only and 1/3 bilingual speakers)

I am a parent of an MLC Alumni and I try to stay in contact and make it a point to keep up with the school. I have been a supporter of the MLC and how the school continues to grow and is a true part of the community. The school each year has bigger and better programs and the teaching staff is as amazing as it was from years back.
This school has been my home. It has always been. The child never broke her finger she just jammed it and the office always suggests to call a parent. The child probably said no. And I know for a fact that the principal is an amazing hymns being. Cares for everyone and everything. Plus, parent council now, sucks. After middle school went to another campus the elementary kids parents went off to be in parent council and the new parent council thinks there all that.
