I love the atmosphere here! Majority of teachers here are committed to assist students to the max. Also, the after school tutor session are very helpful! I enjoyed my 4 years at this high school, staffs and teachers here are kind and understandable. There is rarely any bullying going on. I see all diversity, people who are interested in Gothic, etc. This is a high school where everyone belongs. The counselor here are very helpful too, they will help you with anything as long as you ask them.

I really enjoy that there is an abundance of outlets for kids to choose to express themselves. There are many teachers there that strive to form connections with their students unlike at different schools. I think that they understand the kind of student body we have and that most of us come from low income or not the best households. I do believe though that sometimes it feels as though certain clubs don't get as much attention or get helped as much as sports do. Sports are huge at Mt. Whitney and I think that each club or artistic class should be funded equally and respected equally. But maybe that's just high school, right? Overall, I think that this school does very well for itself considering the challenges it gets, like being one of the smallest highschools and that our student body can sometimes be difficult to handle.
The teachers truly care about the students and encourage learning! However, more mental health resources would be nice.
