In the past four years, I had a somewhat good experience. There were ups and downs such as schedules or locker changes and there were also events such as test prep that could have been more often that could help a lot of students out. As of the year of 2019 to 2020 the schedule changed and an hour of a "study hall" type of period was added to Thursdays and Fridays that helped out a lot with getting stuff done. As for the school's structure, I wish the lockers were improved upon and a couple of things that should be changed such as the fact that the doors going to the stairs are single door and not double and limits the number of students going to the stairs or leaving and can make students late. I also wish lockers were given during walk through and not after school begins because we have to carry the textbooks around if we dont have a locker already. And if we do, I wish the locker stayed with us for all four years and for seniors to get priority for lockers.

My experience as a Mount Diablo High student was completely different as compared to other students from different schools. Before attending this high school, many people have told me that the school is a terrible place for students due to its reputation. On the other hand, many people told that they had the best experiences at the school. All throughout my fours years of high school, I've had wonderful experiences such as: class field trips that made my academy bond and come together as a family, hard projects that would help us in the future for job interviews or to start a business, and many more. One thing that the school should work on is teacher involvement. Most teachers in the school tend to not care about the students because they still get paid no matter what they do. Students should also consider being nice to their teachers because some teachers just want what's best for you.
Throughout the course of my high school career in Mt. Diablo High School, I can say that it isn't as bad as people set it out to be. Things to look forward to and that I like about Mount is the diversity of the students and the ordinary cliches that are present in most high schools isn't apparent. The staff encourage students to want to graduate from high school and think about their next step after it. The only things that I wish that could be changed is the level of school spirit amongst the students and the overall bad mouthing that the school receives.
