Mountain View is a good school. Pretty average. As a gifted student I can easily say by my sophomore year I have a list of colleges, already applying for scholarships, and have a list of preferred majors. Getting ready for college was a priority straight from freshman year. Teachers consistently have after and before school hours and resources to learn! It’s often quite comfortable and I always feel safe.
I’m a new student in Mountain View High School, and my time there is not that bad. In the beginning I was quite nervous, but it all ended up being fine. Following the Covid policies are critical though. It’s mandatory to wear masks, but most students fail to use it. Aside from that, the students there are friendly and funny. There are a lot of clubs and sports too! I’m only a few weeks in, but I’m excited for the new year.
What I liked best about Mountain View High School was that it was very welcoming. The teachers at the school care about the students a lot and I appreciate that. I also like the varieties of classes that Mountain View has to offer (design, film, etc.). What I would like to see change is the traffic jam situation. Every morning I got in the car with my mom and when she tried to drop me off there was a massive traffic jam at all 3 stoplights in front of the school. I hope that one day Mountain View can control the flow of traffic so that fewer students are late to class. Other than that issue I really enjoy going to Mountain View!
