I really enjoyed coming to this school, I loved making friends through all the clubs and activities that students get to participate in. Going to sports games and cheering in our classmates is super fun because the student section is filled with excitement!

I can honestly say that I enjoyed high school overall. I did enjoy most of my teachers as they taught me great life lessons. Not to mention that my school has been known to have high test scores and I definitely believe that my school has prepared me for that. I thought the school events were entertaining. The football games and dances were fun. I think that sports were a big deal just like any other high school, but I believe that the art programs should be bigger. Programs such as art and theater as I think many adolescents have enough potential to make these programs be as popular as sports if given the opportunity to. I did not like the lack of diversity and how often discrimination was a problem there. The school is adamant about anti-bullying but I think it is especially important to talk about discrimination against minorities. It is disappointing because I believe I would have enjoyed high school more if it was not because of that.
For most of my high school experience, I was alone a lot. The atmosphere at Mountain View High School was very depressing. I was that kid that ate lunch in the bathrooms because I didn't have friends. It was very difficult to make friends at this school because you either had to be very religious and sit with all your church friends, or you did drugs. I was always stuck between those two categories of people there. I was neither religious nor did drugs. The students would outcast you from social groups and gatherings if you didn't fit their standards. The academic part of it was pretty good. However some of the teachers would even favor the more religious groups of students with grades and simply helping them out more with academics; which was very frustrating. I struggled in high school a lot, not from being a bad student, but trying to overcome the larger bully in the room; my own school.
