Mountain View High School Reviews
Rating 3.83 out of 5 436 reviews
Most of the teachers I have had are fantastic along with the administration. This schools spirit is unlike any other. At sporting events or in competitions our school shows up and shows out, making the environment somewhere people want to be!
I transferred into this school for my senior year of high school and expected it to be not great. My old, much smaller school didn’t have proper heaters (we lived way up north in Idaho so this was a problem in winter), poor funding, and a pretty toxic culture with lots of kids hoping to drop out. Here the teachers generally do care and work hard to teach their students. The facilities are clean and up to date and there are actually enough parking spots for the students. The school administrators are also fantastic and really want the best for the kids. Some will complain but every school has its problems and overall Mountain View is one of the better public schools in Idaho.
Mountain View is a great school. We’ve had a lot of enthusiasm from our student council, and our teachers are enthusiastic to work here. Participating in sports here is great as an athlete. I’ve had a lot of fun here. Everyone is proud to be a maverick. Occasionally we do have technology issues lately. Our counselors have been overwhelmed with the start of the new year and schedule changes. This year we had a lot of policy changes so the school is just adjusting but they all seem to be going very well. However, the school does not allow us to keep our phones in our possession. This causes a lot of different problems for the student body.
