High School is such a peculiar time in life. Only four years that are jam packed with emotional and academic growth. It's one of the most important times in everyone's life yet when you graduate it's done.Mountain View holds many dear memories and many I'd rather forget. My life in High School wasn't typical of many students but my teachers always made me feel welcome and valued. The best part is that it wasn't just one teacher, it was multiple, who taught completely different subjects. I really felt that they cared but they didn't let that affect my grading. If I didn't get an assignment in I was still held accountable but they still offered their time to listen to me. I was never allowed to join a sport or attend school functions so when we graduated they passed out a note asking what we wanted for our senior motto. The motto I came up with was chosen! It was so rewarding to finally be a part of something. "2012 is not the end its just the beginning"

Mountain View High School is one of the better high schools in the Thompson school district. It offers a variety of diverse sports and activities as well as a special program for students looking for a challenge and love the arts. This program is called the LISA program and personally I love it. It is more advanced classes and provides a community for the artsy type. Mountain View is always changing which is one of the benefits of this school, they are constantly trying to obtain the newest technology for the students and always looking for ways to improve the school as a whole. But one of the downsides of Mountain View is that the actual student community lacks diversity. Mountain View also is coming up with new policies and experiments with them which can be difficult for students, staff, and parents alike. The school resource officer also is an amazingly qualified cop! A very safe school! But overall, this school is amazing! (The AP level classes are also very helpful!)
My experience at MVHS was awesome! The LISA program allows creative students to be around others of their type throughout their educational experience. This school is known for having one of the lowest bullying rates in the nation. Awesome school, awesome atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
