My experience at MVHS has honestly only been ok. I've learned that most teachers don't particularly care about you unless they really like you and those are few. Most times they do not strive to help you understand to your highest benefit something about the lesson. But in my years at the school, i've had some great experiences friend and activity wise. Some of my favorite times were at cheerleading practice with people that have become my lifelong friends! I've also met and become friends with people I never thought I would because of my associations. Overall Mountain View is only an OK school and I CANNOT wait to leave it.

Some teachers put a lot of effort into their teaching and offer students help if they need it, making the class much more engaging and interesting. However, most of the teachers seem they're working here because of money. Some teachers don't even show up at least twice a week and give out packets and assignments instead of teaching the students the actual material. I see a lot of people failing in classes even though they try hard enough to pass. More students are stressed about their academic grades in this school than any other schools. Not also that, many teachers take about a month to grade a single paper. They claim that they have other classes to grade but taking more than a month to grade a SINGLE paper seems a bit too much. However, the classes/subjects and clubs/activities that they provide is diverse which is a good factor.
Mountain View High School is highly committed to ensuring that its students are going to be successful once they graduate. Speaking from personal experiences, I have had determined teachers who take time to get to know their students while also making sure that each student is in a comfortable learning environment. When I was struggling in any of my classes, my teachers were able to keep me grounded and help me bring up my grades. At school, I am very active in fine arts and appreciate all of the hard work that orchestra, band, chorus, and theater students put into their productions. I especially love the musicals that are produced by the theater students. The aspect that is keeping me from giving Mountain View a five star rating is the lack of appreciation and funds that go into fine arts. I would love to see what the fine arts could do with more funding.
