I had an overall good experience at Mountain Ridge. I think the sports teams can use some improvement and needs a more solid coaching staff. I would also like to see more stable clubs that are consistent that students can find community in. The academics are good considering a lot of dual enrollment credits, honors, and AP classes are available to take. The teachers mostly all really do care about their students and want them to succeed. The campus is really nice and I always felt safe! I wouldn't have wanted to go to any other high school. With small changes Mountain Ridge High School can easily become the best school in area.

The administration and faculty were Awesome! In particular, Mrs. Moore and Mr. Harris. Excellent facilities and campus. Very clear and transparent with communication. The food for lunch could have more healthy selections. But overall, Ridge was Great!
I enjoy the extra-curricular departments and overall atmosphere. On any given day, dozens of band, theatre, choir, and sports students willingly give their time to pursue what they love to do. This, however, can only be done through the aid of dedicated staff. Another wonderful aspect of this school is the curriculum. There’s a sense of interconnectedness, even when it comes to seemingly diverse classes like AP US History and Sociology 101. There is an obvious sense of communication amid the teachers. My high-school experience has been a lovely amalgamation of being pushed in the honor’s classroom, challenged onstage in the auditorium after school, and forming life-long relationships with other students and staff.
