I went to Mountain Pointe from freshman to junior year of high school. I absolutely loved it. I was apart of the Dance Program, Choir, Theatre Company, Urban Dance, Black Student Union (BSU), and BSU Step Team. Not to mention I was on the volleyball team, helped manage the mens volleyball team, became a student athletic trainer for all of the teams for two years. This influenced me to become a Physical Therapist and help young athletes with their injuries. The community is so diverse and strives for inclusion for everyone. There is an assembly just about every month about a different heritage, African American, Hispanic, Pacific Islander, etc.

I sadly had to move do to my parents getting another job, but I absolutely loved that school. The mascot of Pride gives a very big impression of community and unity. The school stands up to it's name by including everyone in the school to make sure everyone has a place they feel they belong.

Mountain Pointe, otherwise known as "the football school". Believe it or not, we are actually good at other things than just football. We are known for our diversity, amount of clubs for any student, school spirit, and academics. I absolutely love my school. Coming to MP, I learn and grow not only in the class but just walking around campus, hearing and seeing what each person has to offer. The teachers care about each student making sure they are on the right track and importantly, are safe. I love MP. GO PRIDE!
Being a student at Mountain Pointe High School for all 4 highschool years, It's been a few ups and downs, but it was fun while it lasted. I love the school's atmosphere and community. One of the major things I think Mountain Pointe HS could improve on would be their Athletic Programs. I personally think MPHS need to have Coaches who actually cares about their student athletes. Coaches who have a desire to help the school team get to their highest potential as athletes. Observing the past several years that I have attended, I've noticed that the Coaches are self centered and all about winning. Of course all schools wants to win, but the students self esteem, moral, and success should come first. MPHS deserves to have Coaches who actually want to see their student athletes succeed on and off of the court. I think this missing piece will help MPHS become a school potential high school students would look forward to going to for years to come.
