Mount St. Mary Catholic High School Reviews

Mount St. Mary Catholic High School is a great place to find a home inside of a school. All of the students are very friendly and the smaller classes leave room for collaboration and individual teaching. The school does have a uniform, which can be beneficial for some students. They are also stricter on things such as phones and personal expression. Students cannot dye their hair, have piercings or tattoos, and have to follow strict dress code when we have out-of-uniform days. However, we have an amazing student body with great school spirit, and the student sections at games are loud and supportive. The sports programs are also great and inclusive.
Oh gosh, I love nearly everything about the Mount! Is it perfect? No, but it is very close! The teachers are wonderful. I came from a horrible middle school, with very incompetent and toxic teachers. I have ADD/ADHD, so I have had many difficulties in school for a very long time. In elementary school, I was testing for my ADD and was given some accommodations, but in middle school, I had none given to me. However, that was not the case in high school.
There is a program specifically designed to help those with learning disabilities/impairments, and because I was a part of the class, EVERY teacher knew of my ADD, followed my accommodations, and made it their priority to make sure I would succeed in high school. They have clearly done so, as I went from being an average, rarely motivated student to one who always tries her hardest, no matter what.
That, alone, should showcase how great the Mount is. Every student should be shown mercy, and they especially do that at the Mount.

I am currently a freshman at MSM and I love it! Some of the teachers and admin aren't the best but for the most part the school is really good and all the people are wonderful. Academics are above average and sports are pretty good. And I gotta say the food is really good for Highschool food. All students for the most part are very kind and inviting.
