I started attending Mount Saint Joseph Academy my senior year. I was so scared to come into a school my senior year because I thought it was gonna be hard to make friends. I was wrong. As soon I got to Vermont, I joined the schools soccer team. The girl were amazing. They welcomed me to their team with open arms even if I had no idea how to play soccer. When I had trouble getting certain things, instead of getting mad and not letting me play, the girls helped me get better. Right now I'm in my second semester at the school and I'm loving it. I'm on the basketball team with a different group of girls and they're just as welcoming as the soccer girls
In class, it's like a family. Everyone talks to each other. And there aren't many kids in a class, which helps with understanding things and asking questions. The classes are discussion based to make sure that everyone participates and understands. The teachers really help and support the students in literally everything. I love my school!

Attending MSJ was by far the best decision I have ever made. From the moment I began there, the community was nothing but welcoming and supportive, and that did not change for the four years I was there. Yes, the school is small and of course that can add a few challenges here and there, but honestly, what school does not have challenges? The small size allowed me to make friends not only in my grade, but in all four, have close relationships with my teachers that in turn helped me academically, and offered me opportunities to get involved in any way possible, such as athletics and extracurriculars. As a non-Catholic student, I never felt uncomfortable or that I was being forced into a religion, but instead found that teachers, priests, and other students were happy to educate me on the religion as much as I wanted and allow me to participate in what I felt comfortable doing. If you are on the fence about attending MSJ, go for it!
My experience at MSJ is great! This school has helped with leading me on the right path for the future and the teachers are great supporters who will help you reach your dreams and get into your dream school. Even though its a small school, it has lots of diversity.
