What I like about Mount St. Dominic Academy are the bonds that you have the ability to make not just only with friends, but with teachers as well. The teachers view everyone as equals and create a calm and comfortable learning environment. Not only this but the passion and drive that every young women has within them is tremendous. Girls are always trying to excede expectations and therefore the teachers hold a high standard for all of the students that attend Mount St. Dominic Academy. Most importantly students are taught how to prepare for the college and real world and are ultimately more prepared than most of the other college students from what I have heard from recent graduates. What I do love most about the Mount is the everlasting memories and connections that I created with classmates. I am so grateful that I'm able to have such a small class where we were all able to be united and I think that my high school experience had benefited greatly from these forever friendships.
I had an incredibly wonderful high school experience at the Mount, and was beyond prepared for the rigorous academic challenges of the competitive college I attended. I was accepted into every school I applied. The cost is on par with the school’s listed comparable schools, despite being a far superior high school and that is on purpose as the school’s mission is not to exclude everyone except the wealthy. The amount of scholarships the students receive is pretty incredible and shows what a smart investment a Mount education is, because oftentimes, it enables families to afford colleges that would otherwise be unaffordable. Highly recommend the Mount!
As a senior, I can say that my past four years have been full of excitement, focus, and compassion from both myself and the students. The teachers are always looking for ways to help their students succeed and understand topics/lessons in fun ways. The family events establish a strong sense of community between the girls and the parents. And the sisterhood that is created is unbreakable. I'm going to miss the Mount!
