Third, it is very hard to get into the classes you want if you simply do not have the exact grade then you are immediately shut down and have to go through a lengthy appeal process. Mount also asks for money from students and parents CONSTANTLY to complete projects that may not even happen in the distant future. They recently had a campaign that the students would donate money to the school and the school would send the parents a letter praising the students generosity. The donation request concept is absolutely ridiculous considering they also call our houses asking for money and send out a booklet to the whole school on whos family donated how much. The technology in the classrooms (besides the laptops) is extremely outdated.

I've really enjoyed my last four years at the Mount. Although it took a while to adapt to a new high school setting and find a group of people that I shared common interests with, I found the best ways to make my experience memorable were through getting very involved. If you do not participate in either sports or extra-curricular activities, it will definitely be more difficult to truly feel like a part of the community.

The majority of the teachers here are extremely helpful, and encourage coming by during free time to help you with things that you may have trouble with. There were few instances where I had trouble with teachers, whether it be related to exams, classwork, miscommunication, etc.

Classes are adequately challenging, but the workload is not overwhelming.
There is a great variety of clubs and teams to participate in at Mount.

While there are ups and downs to every school, I'm really glad that, in the end, I chose Mount.
As a current student of The Mount I am not completely pleased with all they supposedly have to offer. First, the lunch is on the rotating schedule and is just the same unhealthy, overpriced and fast food every week. The salads and wraps are the "healthier" options but are not good quality. The food is way over priced in the cafeteria along with the drinks. Second, apparently if there isn't a club or a team that you want then you can start it yourself. This is false because when you try to pass an idea by the administration they simply are not receptive, ignore your emails, and simply shut down many ideas.
