Simply the most amazing academic, spritual and social experience for our daughter. Education is unsurpassed, SAT grades are phenomenal.Teachers are college level and so very kind. Campus is gorgeous. Thank you so much!
Great education! The teachers, as well as the administration genuinely cared. They were ahead of the curve with virtual learning during the pandemic. The Mount is a close knit community that felt like family. The Mount went above and beyond to make our senior year the best they could.
I went to Mount Saint Joseph Academy for the purpose of being prepared to apply to colleges and to be ready for college-level classes. The classes are good, even if the administration can be difficult to deal with, leading the students to do much of the college application process without much help.
While the academics did indeed challenge me, the school's culture also caused more unexpected challenges. As it is a Catholic school students are required to go to Mass and to take religion classes, but some of the girls fail to follow the Catholic teachings and can be cruel. I tend to compare it to Mean Girls.
Mount Saint Joseph Academy fulfilled its purpose for me but it was ultimately not the best place to be. I'd recommend it for the academics but would also encourage applicants to think about what they want for school culture, particularly when it comes to religion and the other girls attending the school.
