When I came to Mount Ellis Academy, I didn't really have that much of a vision of what I wanted to do. But the faculty taught me and allowed me to develop, and I was given a passion. I can say that all faculty have exceptional teaching skills (except for one. He has no teaching qualities whatsoever). I can say that my relationship with God has had ups and downs during my time here. Sometimes I felt smothered by the Adventist regime, but over all I really grew to love God here. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I recommend.
Mount Ellis Academy is a private boarding school where students from around the world come to visit. It is nestled in the snowy mountains of Montana with its own private ski hill and the most genuine people around. When students come, they are not just part of a small community, but a family. There are alumni gatherings every year so even after they move on, they never leave their family. This school provides a strong academic program, but it also gives the adventure of a lifetime with bonds between people that stay forever. I love this school dearly and I always will.
After graduating from Mount Ellis Academy, I enrolled in Walla Walla University in Washington. I was not an academically bright student, but the years at Mount Ellis helped so much to prepare me, that I ended Freshman year with a 3.72 GPA, and on the road to a successful College career. The Teachers and Faculty at Mount Ellis Academy are some of the most supportive, excellent teachers I have ever had the privilege of learning from! I felt I had been given a grounded experience in preparation for meeting the obstacles of adulthood.
