Mount Carmel Academy is a great high school for anyone to send his or her daughter. Not only are the academics outstanding, but the environment is as well! I am currently a junior attending this high school, and when I was trying to figure out where to go to high school, I will admit that I was a bit hesitant to come here because it was completely different from what I was used to, and not to mention, I had no idea who anyone was coming into this school; nonetheless, I am very glad that I decided to come here and stay because of how welcoming everyone is, how helpful and understanding the teachers are, and the school's culture is so unique. The school also offers rigorous classes along with numerous fun clubs and activities to fit everyone's interests.

I absolutely LOVE MCA. Going there has been the best decision of my life. I'm going to touch on almost all of the subtopics.
ACADEMICS: The academics at MCA are phenomenal. They're rigorous, but there is always help if you need it.
TEACHERS: The teachers are amazing. Although it does depend on which teacher, the majority of them make the classes fun and engaging while still being helpful to the girls. Teachers are often available before school, after school, and during a study period called IS for help.
CLUB & ACTIVITIES: There are so many options for clubs at MCA. There's everything from service and religious clubs to clubs for helping the environment and a T.V. production club. There is something for everyone. The only club I would add would be a LGBT--Straight Alliance.
SCHOOL CULTURE: There are so many fun traditions at MCA from Spirit Day to Mascots.
RESOURCES: There are 8 counselors with an open door policy. They're exceptionally helpful.
My experience at Mount Carmel has been decent. The school does have a lot of rigorous courses that should potentially prepare you for college. There is a crazy amount of homework that takes up a lot of your time meaning you need to practice time management. Most teachers are amazing. The school does have many clubs meaning there is something from everyone. The school culture is very unique. There are many traditions like Spirit Day and mascots. It’s super fun to participate in them. School isn’t LBGTQ friendly and not diverse enough. Academically, this school is pretty good.
