Mount Carmel is such an amazing school. The environment is extremely inclusive and loving. I know that I am truly cared about at the school. I receive a wonderful education, and I feel well prepared for college. Administration makes sure we have a great mix of fun and seriousness. The teachers truly care about our well-being and actively engage the class in learning. This year is a bit different because we cannot have the usual exciting event due to COVID; still, the faculty and student council tries to make school as enjoyable and fun as possible. Overall, I truly love and enjoy receiving my education at Mount Carmel Academy!
I have had a great experience at Mount Carmel Academy. It truly meets the standards of a college preparatory school. I had to work hard to achieve good grades, but I had great teachers to help me on my journey. I had a great support system to help me when I was stressed. Mount Carmel is not just about the grades or education, but it is truly about building a connection with rest of the school and our Christian Faith. I could not see me anywhere else but Mount Carmel, and I would not have changed my decision for the world. Also, Mount Carmel is fun. Random picnics at lunch, spirit day, gym day, and so many other fun activities. Mount Carmel focuses very much on academics, but has a great proportion of dealing with everything else to make it the best high school experience ever.
I have had a decent experience at Mount Carmel. As someone who is white and in the majority, I have obviously experienced no discrimination. However, I know many girls who have been targeted by the rules for their race. For example, long fake nails and hair accessories in braids. Despite the terrible diversity, the school has done a lot for me and for many others. Mount Carmel, despite its issues, has taught me how to grow among my peers and has helped me get out of my shell. Through all of the spirit activities and class events, I have truly gotten to know my classmates and see most of them as my sisters.
