The students, teachers, and faculty are incredibly welcoming people who always have a smile for you. The students are very intelligent and do not shy away from a challenge. They are young people who would be able to change the world on its axis because they know there are problems in this world that need to be fixed. They come from all different types of backgrounds and understand there are different points of view other than their own. They are empathetic and compassionate young adults. The teachers challenge these students to get out of their comfort zone, think a little harder and feel confident in their academic abilities. They are supportive and care about the student beyond the classroom. All of the faculty care about each other and the students and have great relationships. MOT Charter High School is a great school with a great community of compassionate students and supportive teachers.

At MOT Charter School I was able to participate in a variety of clubs and activities that I would not have been able to participate in if I hadn't gone to a small school. MOT Charter School's academics are less lecture-based and more project and application-based. This can be challenging at times for some students but it has prepared me for college with the amount of work that we received and the amount of work we do as individual students. Many students are encouraged to try new things, or if there is nothing that sparks their interest, start new clubs and activities with other students. The education that students receive is good overall, though some areas could use improvement, and the majority of the staff is supportive of their students.
I've enjoyed my time at MOT Charter School in both the K-8 academy and at the High School. The high school takes a different approach to teaching their students, emphasizing student engagement over lectures. The school also offers many dual-enrollment opportunities for students throughout their high school year to help students rack-up college credits early.
