I have very three very different children who attend Moses Brown, and can attest to the school's commitment to Quaker values and nurturing the "inner light" of EVERY child. The faculty care deeply about their students, holding them to exceptionally high standards both academically and as members of the school community. The education is first rate, and the opportunities beyond the walls of the classroom are phenomenal: arts, athletics, leadership, research, service, travel...I wish I could do school over again at MB!

The academics at Moses Brown were above average. But the students and how they were dealt with was below average. The academics were not made a priority and the administration did not seem to know how to deal with its students. The Dean was focused entirely on raising money for the school rather than fixing the existing problems within it. The student population was on average very wealthy, which made it seem as though they had nothing to lose, and therefore had no problem misbehaving. This made it hard for students who were there to learn to be able to enjoy the experience. The school is also heavily focused on Football, and tends to neglect the other sports and especially the theater program.
We have experienced the Lower, Middle and now the Upper School and have been pleased with each division. Amazing teachers, a challenging curriculum, outstanding performing arts and athletics are some of the reasons we chose MB and we have not been disappointed. Our children have had many opportunities to develop leadership skills both in and out of the classroom, experience summer travel with fellow students through the MB Trips program as well as engage in the local community through fulfilling service programs - and this has played a huge part in shaping the well rounded, socially conscious, thoughtful people they are becoming.
