The Healthcare academy dominates the school in numbers and attitude in general. They create a tense, competitive environment for the entire school. I have yet to go a day without hearing someone ask me about my GPA, SAT scores, or colleges I'm applying to. Everything in this school is a complete competition and it affects everyone's mood and the schools general vibe.

There are very few choices when it comes to choosing classes. There are also very few AP courses available.

Most of the teachers are great and really care about the students! There are a few that are new or just not caring, but you would get that at any school.

This school tends to attract very immature students!

Overall, my experience here has been very lame and the academics don't nearly make up for the rest of the drawbacks!

My son has attended MCST for 2 years now and he absolutely loves it. The teachers really care about the success of their students. Some of the coursework can be very challenging at times; however, this is offset by the Academy blocks that teach career subjects that the kids are really interested in. In 8th grade, my son was awarded several scholarships to local private high schools. However, he only wanted to attend the Academy, so he turned down the scholarships. He made a wise choice!
The Morris County School of Technology paves a path for many young and ambitious adolescents. Within the walls of this school, lay the very diverse academies of healthcare, law and public safety, multimedia, art and design, business and much more. Along with this, the school's extracurriculars strive as they appeal to all students from all of the different academies. While stressing CTE practices, this school is designed to prepare a naive child to become bold and driven workers throughout the workforce. As the wise Confucius once said, "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." Hence, this school reflects this quote with beauty and excellence as it never fails to prepare students for a bright future.
