Ive attended Morningside since preschool. I did love it. As a child I loved going to school to learn and see my teachers, but as I got older I feel like the teachers turned a blind eye to the students. They worry about someone putting on chapstick, but if a student is in pain emotionally and crying they do not say a word to them. After the class they say something to administration, and no on ever comes to the student. The only way the student hears that people know is because the administration asked the other kids what is wrong instead of going right to the source. so basically in all they just do not care about the right things anymore. All they care is about the paycheck they get every two weeks.

What I like about Morningside Academy is the small student-to-teacher ratio in each classroom which helps support more individual attention and one-on-one teaching. The school serves very good hot lunch and an abundant amount of snacks and drinks. The school is very diverse with many students coming from all across the globe. The classes are very advanced and prepare students well for college. The school also has a very strong sports and music department. The art department is also excellent and one of my personal favorites. However, I would like to see stronger security of the campus of Morningside, with perhaps a gate or some sort of stronger supervision for everyone's safety. Overall, this is a good school with a little bit of room for improvement.
Morningside does have good food and a few good teachers, but that's all the good things I have to say about it. The high school pays a crazy amount for portables and frequently broken bathrooms and air conditioning. the teachers and administration have favorites, usually with the athletes and teachers kids. There is a rule that there can be no clubs, the closes thing to a club is the NJS that meets once a month. There are few electives and you are stuck with the same teachers for years. The music and art department is great and would be better if the school didn't spend all their money on sports. There is no diversity at all. and people are shamed by teachers for not being like them. I don't feel safe at school because of the terrible planning done in advanced. At a code red drill, a teacher was banging on the door acting as the shooter and the teacher opened the door, despite the students yelling to not. My experience at this school was terrible and I cant wait for college.
