Morgan Park Academy cares about it's students! You are able to get one on one assistance with your teachers if you need help. I attended this school from pre-school-3 to 12th grade, needless to say I was a super lifer at that school! Although the class size was really small (<30 graduating class) I really think that helped me learn to understand others and navigate through conflict. MPA prepared me for my college career through academics and the general care it has for students. If you (or someone you know) is considering MPA, do it, looking back I am grateful for the lessons I have learned (academically and socially) as a result of being a student at MPA.

Going to Morgan Park Academy was life changing. The teachers are incredible. The students are so different in their backgrounds and interests. The school itself is so small that you leave knowing almost everyone. The school becomes your family. When you leave, you leave a much more cultured person than before. The ethnicities that are represented at the school are vast and eye opening. My best friends are either Syrian, black, or Hispanic. The ability to meet people from all over the world and to develop lifelong friendships with them is something I couldn't have gotten anywhere else. Everyone there has such a great appreciation for different cultures because of the students and the national and international trip opportunities available. I traveled to Costa Rica, Peru, and Thailand through the school. I improved my Spanish speaking skills on these trips while being exposed to different ways of life around the world. I am more educated and independent because of Morgan Park Academy.
I have always valued small schools, as I believe that this allows for better connection between students and teachers. Morgan Park Academy is a perfect model of this idea. I have learned so much, established great friendships with my fellow students and my teachers. All have contributed to my preparation for the next step: college. I wish that there were more classes offered, in order to suit the diversity of interests that exist in the school. Besides this, I am thankful that Morgan Park Academy has provided such an excellent educational opportunity. The courses, the extracurriculars, and the diverse environment were all incredible factors that made Morgan Park Academy have a lasting impression on me.
