My schooling experience was normal in terms of pursuing a basic high school education. The school has several sports, welding, CNA opportunities, and even choir. Dress codes are way too strict. I've definitely been harassed by teachers and students. It can go from disrespect to groping. We illegally tested with our biology teacher. The test was for biology and she gave out some answers. Since I've been taking virtual classes the school has made little to no effort to reach out to me. But the school spirit is there and the school is under new management. My friends don't complain too much.
My experience in this school is quite interesting before covid we had alot of activities and side was really fun too. When we finish a game the whole team would go out and eat. What I like are the dual enrollment classes. This will help me in college because I won't have to repeat the same classes. Some things I would change are the end of the year tests. I don't understand why we need it when the 9 weeks determines us on how we do in the class.
The teachers are not just on a professional level that meets the eye but they are also able to create lasting relationships with students that make them trustworthy. One thing that I would like to see changed would be the amount of parent and teacher interaction.
Morgan City High School was a supportive environment and I enjoyed my time there. The part I enjoyed the most was the music program.
It was a friendly school with lots of activities for students to be involved in after school. The school was safe and the food was alright.
As I am currently attending Morgan City High School, I can say that I am sad to see that my time here is coming to an end. I have not only received knowledge on required subjects, but everyday life elements. This school has not only provided me with a great education, but a second home.
My experience at Morgan City High School is probably similar to most high school students. But, I believe our teachers set us a part from other schools. The teachers at MCHS genuinely care about their students' grades and their daily performance as citizens. They push us to be the best students and people we can possibly be. However, I would love to see a little more excitement towards our athletic department.
I had a great experience with morgan city high school. They care about your education, and encourage you to be the person that you truly want to be.
Extremely diverse and fun! Honors are competitive. Teachers do a really good job of being a good role model figure for the students. Sports are not the best, but we make it up in other categories. As a senior here, I can say my time was well spent here. Out of school activities really can define your high school experience. Also, the food is somehow really good.
I love my school.Everyone is equal, every race is seen, different tongues are heard and different styles are worn. There many opportunities at my school that can makes every students a part of MCHS. Not only that did i mention that the teaches sacrifice their time to stay with kids. My school makes sure that no one gets left behind that everyone receives their education, that racist remarks... here ? NEVER. Our principle is awesome he makes us laugh and happy and makes sure we start our morning with great attitude and with full tummy encouraging us to eat breakfast. Every staff member is very awesome
I like the environment of Morgan City High School. It is very confirming yet teaches your to be responsible. the teachers go beyond expectations to make sure you know the material.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my years in high school due to my involvement in many clubs and organizations. However, it’s no secret that the school’s funding has been dwindling, and so has the quality of the school. Many teachers have been fired, and many clubs or classes have been taken away due to lack of funds.
i like that there were so many extra curriculars i don't like the budget cuts. The administration only cares about sports and making money..they don't take time with students
Morgan City High School is a place that I am proud to call my Alma Mater. There are so many different clubs and activities at the school that make it possible for everyone to get involved in some way with the school. Also, the faculty and staff here have a way of welcoming you and making you love the material they teach. I have formed many great relationships here and have enjoyed my time at MCHS.
Morgan City is a smaller city I have called home for most of my life. This is a very friendly and accepting town. My experience at Morgan City High School has been very nice; the teachers are nice, the school is clean, the staff enforces the rules as they were intended to be, and the student body if very nice too. Although I have liked my time at MCHS the few things I would change are the coaches for the athletics, the coaches are sometimes favorable to some players or the coaches are fulfilling their role as a volunteer and that is it some coaches really do not put much effort for their team. Also, i would change some of the organization issues for some events the events may not start on time or may finish way later than intended.
I like the school it's a safe place. But I think they could help the kids that want to go to college be more productive.
To be honest, the school sucks. It's probably me, but almost everyone doesn't know how to cooperate well. Students bicker withe teachers, lunch is improving but not well, and th e guidance counselors aren't doing their jobs right. They had the nerve to give an attitude towards me and other students, even when I was asking for some help. Busy my ass, they only talk about drama and do work whenever told to. When I was a freshman, I didn't know what to do for orientation, I was late and wanted to get help. Did I mention it was a all female guidance counselors staff. So when I asked for help, the lady dealing with me just said that I should've known about this and where your supposed to go and yet talked to me as I was a idiot. Can't deal with this school.
