The academics at MHS are amazing! There's a wide variety of AP and Honors courses available to the students, and for the most part, the faculty is very knowledgeable and invested in the students' success. The culture at this school is much more friendly and conducive to a healthy, academic atmosphere than any other school in the area. There are dozens of clubs and activities on campus, and MHS is even a distinguished school of the arts. Despite some administrative incompetencies, this school is top-notch!

Moorpark High School has prepared me for college by the amount of challenging and rigorous courses offered. The relationships I have made with my teachers are phenomenal. I feel very close with all of my teachers and can speak with them about anything, on a personal level. However, I would recommend changing staffing in yard duties. They have had many complications with students, using school inappropriate words, and acting unprofessional. The sports offered an school spirit is outstanding! I’m proud to be a Musketeer!
This school is relatively average when it comes to the basics of education; however, the athletics and arts departments are exceptional. The track and field and soccer teams have won several CIF championships and awards. The musical theatre department has significantly expanded in the last few years and has put on award-winning performances such as Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables. Both performances won the school a gold medal ribbon in Performing Arts. The marching band is award-winning as well. The dance team is also phenomenal and continues to win awards for the school. In terms of culture, this school is pretty average. The school spirit isn't that high, but they're trying to improve that. There isn't the cliche school drama you see on TV, and generally, everyone is pretty friendly. I would recommend going to this school.
