Outside the community, Moorestown can appear relatively intimidating. As a new student freshman year I became in the middle of it all, that intimidation slowly went away as I became more comfortable and aware of myself. I really was taught many lessons here at Moorestown High School, and most importantly found myself. Going to school here, although I learned a lot academically, I was more exposed to new experiences I found myself learning from. I would conclude that Moorestown is an overall good school district, yet lacks much diversity and wholehearted acceptance. After school hobbies, such as sports and theater, are critically acclaimed and are one of the highlights of Moorestown High School. Although it is a hard school socially, it really helps students understand themselves and who they desire to be. For that, and other reasons regarding the good teachers and great education, I would recommend Moorestown High School to perspective high schoolers.

The classes were vigorous, tests and exams were not always easy, and some projects took a long time to complete, but that's how many schools are. There were many school functions to be involved in, like pep rally, sports games, band/orchestra/choir concerts, and prom. I do wish there were more of a variety of foreign languages to choose from, more clubs or activities provided, and a wider variety of classes offered, such as shop class or home ec. Some teachers, especially certain substitute teachers, seemed as though they didn't care too much about the class they were teaching, which definitely showed and reflected onto the students as well. High school is what you make of it, and I am lucky to have had a group of good friends with me along the way to make my high school experience a good one. Getting involved in school activities makes it worthwhile.
Overall, being a graduate from Moorestown High School and attending this school for four years, my experience here was just like any other person who has to attend any high school. I went because it was mandatory, made friends, loved most of my teachers but the overall atmosphere of being in high school wasn't the best. There wasn't really a "safe place" I felt like I could go to. Most of the teachers were only focused on the academic aspect of school and not if the students were okay.
