I went to 3 different high schools and this one was by far the best! The teachers engage students by using real life examples and explaining, in detail, why the material they are teaching is important to our future careers. They are extremely knowledgable, enabling them to answer virtually any questions students may have. They are also available at the students request, providing students with the the knowledge they need to succeed within the school community. Their grading is extremely fair and consistent, as they make students work to earn the grades they received, but also provide opportunities to better your grade if you are not satisfied.
Review Moon Senior High School
The school atmosphere is very welcoming. Most school in today's society are split into groups, but Moon seems to collectively work together and provide maximum school spirit. Being a new student my senior year, I wasn't sure whether it would be easy to make friends. After attending my first day, I had friends inviting me places and including me in gym, lunch, and groups during class. I have never felt so included and loved! Students at Moon recognize the importance of feeling included and make sure to do so. I have never witnessed so many students going out of their way to make one feel a part of the community.
The extracurricular clubs are amazing! We had clubs traveling to other countries with one of the more popular AP Government teachers, Mr. D. We also had a debate and congress club, which I decided to partake in for the first time my senior year. It was an amazing experience, giving room to grow as both a student and a leader. Our sports were always backed up with a high energy student sections captained by Matthew Montanaro. Not just football was cheered on, but virtually all sports!
