I loved my 4 years at Moody. The school spirit was amazing and all of my teachers were caring, insightful, and prepared me for college. The only thing I would change is the facilities, much of the school is old and deteriorating . I like the old, collegiate feel, but it has not been kept up and maintained the way it should be (chairs falling apart and drawers falling apart). That being said, the academics were challenging and diverse so I never took a class I didn't want to or wasn't interested in. oh, and the principle and counslors are AMAZING!

Your experience in any high school heavily depends on what “click” you were involved with; this holds true at Foy H. Moody High School. Athletes were praised if their sports were baseball/softball , basketball, or football. Being in specific sports put you in good standing with principles, administration, and teachers. Staff were very lenient and turned a blind eye to any wrong doings, if you were an athlete. Drugs, drinking, sex tapes on campus, and bad grades were all covered but not for regular students. On the other hand, principles were very involved with events and there were multiple programs for students that wanted to learn about robotics and coding. Moody High School focused on the good they were doing for specific students and ignored the troubled students that also attended their school. Programs for those troubled students & their families would not old help these students but also give Moody a better name in the community.
Moody High School, the home of "Moody Magic," is the best school to be. The school spirit exhibited by not only students but by staff as well is unlike any other. At every event, no matter how big or small, support from the cheer team, drill team, students, and staff can be felt within the hearts of those around. The academic range is extraordinary, as there are academies for all types of careers such as the Teacher Prep Academy, Innovation Academy, Health Science Academy, and many more. There is also a wide range in clubs including Chess Club, Fishing Club, and Book Club! Nothing should be changed about Moody High School, as everything about it has shaped the person who I am today and the dreams I have for the future.
