3/5 Stars:
The school is lovely in the aspect that the staff and students are very supportive and encouraging towards each other, there's no discrimination or social hierarchy as they're quite adamant about making everyone feel included. The teachers work hard to accommodate those who struggle a little more, pushing them to succeed, and they offer resources to help students get to where they want to be, which I personally think is better than the other high school options around.
However, the administration loves to pretend to listen to students, frequently giving out surveys and asking for feedback while blatantly ignoring what the student voice responds with. They're constantly working on improving their listening skills so that every voice can be heard, but as of right now, that, and attendance (particularly regarding seniors and what special privileges they should receive as they're adults), is a complete mess.
In conclusion, they could be better, but could be so much worse.

I enjoy my high school. I am a driven student who enjoys going to school each day, however I do not think the same can be said about many students at my school. This school has an extremely old infrastructure, and several attempts for renovation have been denied. It is disheartening to go to school in such an old building. I think that the teachers work hard to engage students, make classes fun, and adapt to the changing times we are in.
Monument is a small high school with a beautiful campus, two football fields, multiple soccer fields and a very nice track as well. From the front of the school you can see Monument Mountain and from the back you can see the Berkshire mountains. The faculty is filled with wonderful teachers and staff that care about every student. I personally have multiple adults in the school who I can talk to about anything with, school related or not. Creating relationships with the teachers there is an east task and still have teachers from freshman year who I can talk to. All the students are filled with school spirit and don't discriminate against anymore. For my four years there there were no were real fights and I never felt unsafe a day I was enrolled. It is a great place to feel at home and to be if you love nature which surrounds the whole School.
