My overall experience at Monticello High School has been a whirlwind of fun activities. They offer a lot of possibilities for all types of students with teachers that care about each student, diverse classes and with varied clubs/organizations. The importance of education in the school is undoubtedly the main focus and the teachers care and try their hardest to make sure the student will pass with flying colors. In this way, I love the close-knit community and the respect given to all members of the school, teachers and students alike.
The only thing I would like to see changed is the importance of sports and lack thereof for the art department and other optional programs. I have found that the teachers and students only care for the competitions of the school if they pertain to band and sports, but when it comes to any other competition or art, the attention wanes and more than likely will come to a halt.

I only attended Monticello High School for one year, my senior year. The teachers were amazing and all the students were so friendly and welcoming! I enjoyed going to school everyday at Monticello. Now if only they could put air conditioning in the school.
The building is old and has no air conditioning. The teachers are excellent. They also have great sports programs!
