I love being part of the music department! All our music department teachers are fun, qualified professionals dedicated to their students' success. Pit orchestra, marching band, and jazz combo have been some of the best high school extracurricular experiences ever!

Blair is a school where good students become even better students, and students who enter struggling continue to do so. It is a school where it is hard to convince teachers you deserve to be believed in, and where staff members who truly care about the success of their students are difficult to find.
The schools culture is seriously lacking, and consists of staff members who struggle to put effort into non-magnet students. Though the diversity of Blair is a consistently brought up speaking point, a bragging point for the adults associated with Blair, staff members do, at times, participate in and encourage racial microagressions.
However, the principal does a great job of not muting students in any way, and discourages dress coding students. Blair has all the makings of a good school, but would be even better if they managed to find staff members who care.
Montgomery Blair High School, and especially their Magnet, or STEM, program are excellent in shaping future leaders in today's world. Some of the brightest kids in Montgomery County go through the Magnet program. The school provides an arsenal of teachers who are well-versed in the subjects they are teaching, a plethora of resources no matter what your background, an extensive list of classes that fulfills any one's interest, from neuroscience to law, MBHS has it all. The clubs and extracurriculars are great as well if you like politics, STEM, English, etc, there is a club in MBHS waiting for you. MBHS is an excellent school that truly leads the way in innovation.
