Our son is a recent graduate of MBA, and we were thoroughly impressed, pleased and grateful! The school really understands boys and takes teaching and learning very seriously. Our son enjoyed the friends he made, and admires and respects his teachers. The faculty is top-notch and committed to the school and the boys. There are many ways for the students to explore various avenues of developing themselves as people - music, the arts, athletics, service. If you have a son who will be entering into middle school, you owe it to yourself to give MBA a long look!

Our two sons attend MBA for the past 5 years, and the school is above and beyond expectations. My husband and I often wish that we had had the opportunities and challenges presented to MBA boys during 7th through 12th grades.

The commitment to excellence is apparent in every department, and most boys not only compete in a large variety of athletics (including crew and skeet shooting) , but also sing, plan an instrument or participate in drama/art.

The campus is urban, but large and expanding during the next 2 years. Roll Red Roll!
English, Language, and History Departments are great. Science is good. Math is poor. Standardized test prep is nonexistent. Focus is placed on a very select minority of students. Others are pretty much left on their own. College counseling is poor. There is a party culture at this school with an emphasis placed on drinking. Discipline at the school is poor and selective. There are a lot of opportunities for everyone in sports, arts, etc. Really nice buildings. Huge emphasis on football.
