From Montessori Children's House of Denver

Montessori Children’s House of Denver is an accredited private school that, via individualized instruction and care, supports each child’s intellectual, social and emotional growth from infancy through middle school. Our highly-trained and certified teachers guide a curriculum that weaves themes and concepts together and into students’ lives, that is as interested in ‘why’ as in ‘what,’ and that grows alongside students.

Through a philosophy of empathy, personal attention and collaborative learning, we foster a real community with little competition among peers. Our students feel no pressure to achieve for achievement’s sake—rather, they learn because they enjoy learning, and are challenged and nurtured by their teachers to continually attempt more difficult tasks—be it solving a complex math problem or an interpersonal conflict.

For 30 years, we’ve offered safe, in-person learning to the Denver area. Last year was no exception. Invest in your child’s future, schedule a virtual tour.

The Planes of Development

Dr. Maria Montessori identified four planes of childhood development over a lifetime of observation. The Montessori method structures its curriculum and classrooms around these three-year cycles, creating environments that nurture each group’s unique academic, physical, and social-emotional needs, and giving our teachers time to truly know each student and how to individualize their instruction.
