I am a freshman at this high school and so far the experience is amazing! I thought it would’ve been a hard process to go from middle school to high school, but monterey trail made it really easy and un stressful. The campus is at a nice, safe environment. The academics are amazing, the teachers make it a nice learning experience. Also the VAPA program is one of the best, i’m in the monterey trail Jazz band, Concert band, Marching band, and the Vocal ensemble, it is a super fun experience and the teachers are caring, fun, and they know what they are doing. Therefore Monterey Trail High is an amazing, great friendly school.
Monterey Trail is an extremely diverse school that effectively supports student learning. Notable programs include the technical education welding program, the culinary arts program, the AVID program, and the DATA program. Along with student driven clubs like lion dance, garden club, and model foreign government every student can find a club that suits them. The campus culture is very involved with student led programs like ASB, leadership, green machine, and link crew, that aim to connect students and deepen the bond between students. There is a diversity of elective classes and APs in which students can partake.
I love the environment and community shown at this school. Monterey trail high school holds many events that allow students to get to know each other, unite as a school, and share their own stories. I feel very comfortable and accepted being myself at this school. The teachers and staff are great and helpful! This school is definitely a great school for college readiness.
