The school is a reflection of the school district, which is a reflection of the overall lack of guidance as it pertains to matter in public schools in Oregon. Public schools have been taken hostage by the parents who send absolute holy terrors to school and take no effort to corral their children. School teachers are either there for the summers off, or are so burned out dealing with the behavior problems and lack of support from administration AND parents that they no longer care what happens and are there to collect a paycheck. If a parent questions why schools do not adhere to the policies they have in place for behavior issues in school, those parents are trouble makers. Our family solution was to leave the traditional public school setting and go public online through grade school then private high school. We are one of the lucky ones. If we didn't have the ability to do private high school, we would have continued on with online public. The teachers there are amazing.
