Monongahela Middle School Reviews

The school has gone downhill over the years and its easy to tell. The rules can be extremely strict sometimes, such as a full day of detention for wearing a hood in the hallway. The food is less than average, mold is frequently present on the bread and meat. MMS is gross to a level where it is nauseating to walk into the bathrooms at times. The drama club doesn't get any funding, so things aren't good for them. Other than that the school is pretty okay. The teachers really care about you and things that happen outside of school and we have a lot of pep! If the school board cared a little more this place would get a full 5 stars!

In MMS, a wonderful experience is based off of your actions. The majority of the classes engage the classroom however the students during my time were not as intellectual, let alone respectful during my years there. I like the change about the fact we get to learn of more recent topics as time follows, such as LGBTQ themes. The teachers I've had throughout the 2 years were in total were questionably friendly. I have found myself still being formal towards my teachers even after months. The clubs they have around here are sometimes not fully restricted with rules and not harsh about applying them. New clubs that came during the 2 years were abandoned in the long run from forgetful students.

The school itself is not the best, but not the worst. In the future, I would suggest for more understandable important lessons to be taught to the children; the people I dealt with were not fully lovely.
I love my school. The problem is bullying is a big problem in many schools and I don't think the district is doing enough to change it. I also want more clubs and sports.
