The environment at Model Laboratory School is unique from any other school. It's small size allows a very close, family-like atmosphere. The connection to Eastern Kentucky University allows many opportunities for students through the college itself, and the school is consequently very academically challenging. The only downfall to Model is the facilities themselves - the building is very old, and access to things like parking and sporting facilities are limited. Overall though, I have had an enriching experience at Model Laboratory High School and I will cherish the time I spent there.

Model has been a school that has given me many opportunities to advance my education. The challenging courses, opportunities to work with Eastern Kentucky University, and my knowledgeable educators have allowed me to push myself and strive to be better. The environment at Model provides smaller class sizes, advanced curriculum, and closer relationships with peers and teachers. This is beneficial in meeting all students needs and building a positive and supportive atmosphere. Model has helped me venture out of my comfort zone, experience new and educational things, and given me the skills I need to succeed in life.
My experience at Model Laboratory School was good. I started my journey in the 6th grade and I have been here ever since, the learning here is very hands on and fun. The teachers will prepare you for college and the school is overall good. The things I would change about Model is the time schedule and how some of the teachers teach but overall the school is good.
